Sunset

Since finally upgrading to a mobile phone with the best technology 1999 has to offer I have been able to receive picture messages. Typically, the messages I receive contain no text, but it is pretty easy to decipher the gist of the message from the photo. It usually goes something like this:

"HA HA HA HA you are at work and the surf is firing right now". There is another popular version of that message that says "HA HA HA HA you are at work in cold New England and the surf is firing at the warm tropical location where I just snapped this photo."

Of course the messages aren't all surf related, this fall there was plenty of the "Here I am right behind home plate" or "Manny and Ortiz are right in front of me check it out." Lately the "this is the view from 10 rows up at the 50 yard line" photo has been appearing in my inbox each weekend.

Yesterday I checked my messages and and saw a couple pix. The first shot was the typical "It's firing somewhere and your missing it" shot, but I wasn't sure what the other pic was. It took a few seconds, but I put it together. It was firing on the North Shore and Sunset was 8-10. Two Cape guys, Brendan McCray and Tommy Sullivan were surfing in a contest there and had made it through to the quarter finals.

Nice job guys. Booming Sunset with 3 other guys out!!
